Growing up in East Tennessee, Kelsey found her love of music from singing in the church. Growing up in a musical family, Kelsey learned that music was her passion from a very early age. When she was around the age of 13, Kelsey started entering herself in music competitions across East Tennessee, and what started as a musical hobby quickly became something she wanted to do everyday. Kelsey started taking vocal lessons while learning a variety of musical genres, and soon realized that music would be something she wanted to pursue.
In August 2015, Kelsey moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music at Belmont University. During her time at Belmont, Kelsey has learned from a variety of industry professionals, and has developed many different interests in the music industry. She has worked on variety of different projects, including choral anthems, background vocals, and solo work. Kelsey now resides in East Tennessee while working as a Music Specialist in Sevier County.
Kelsey draws inspiration from multiple genres including country, southern rock, bluegrass, and folk. With a powerhouse vocal, Kelsey’s voice can be described as one with a pure tone and unique quality. Some artists that have inspired Kelsey’s musical journey include Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Jo Dee Messina, Lee Ann Womack, Cody Johnson, Shania Twain, and many others.
